Meet the Team
Nature Captured by Dalida and Andrew Innes presents some of our images that we have captured during our travels through Africa. We love all wildlife, in particular big cats and elephants. There is something in the animals that we feel that we are part of them, spending time in their company is beyond anything else in the world and they are remarkably gentle once you start to know them. We hope you enjoy our images as much as we do. The Team
“There is no day that goes without the moon and no day that goes without sunrise and sunset”Can you see your King? This picture has been taken very early that morning. We were in Serengeti National Park, and we have heard later that some tourists complaint that they didn't sleep because a lion came very close to their tent that night, of course we haven't heard anything. We woke up, had a nice cup of coffee and start to shoot what mother earth gave us , a beautiful colour of blue and orange. It's when we arrived at home, while processing the picture that we found out, we were standing in the front of the king, we zoomed the photo. Just a lesson on that one, sometimes, innocence is the best behaviour in the front of the king.
“Life without battle is life without victory”Testing their strength. The race to save the elephants is on! The world's largest land mammal is threatened by habitat loss, climate change but more about this cruel and illegal trade of ivory. Elephants are some of the most intelligent, social and empathic animals around.
“The predator lands on an unknown tree”The Evil Tree. When you see only one tree on a such vast plain, you just can't resist to make a memorable picture.
“The hunter who is tracking an elephant does not stop to throw stones at birds.”A Painting of Flamingoes. Lake Magadi in the Ngorongoro Crater, the garden of eden. A world heritage site, great for photographing the big five. The lesser flamingoes is currently under threat!
“When we cross the river unified, the crocodile is the hunted”The Great Migration, the greatest show on earth, 1.5 million wildebeest throughout the Serengeti and Masai Mara ecosystems in search of green pastures and water, for us it is one of the natural wonders in the world. Something that you don't want to miss!
“The hyena chasing two antelopes at the same time will go to bed hungry”
The Little Princess. Spotted hyenas are known for their laughs, listening to them during our nights in Serengeti National Park, their songs make us feel on sleep, couldn't imagine Africa without this iconic animals..
“When all the water has gone, only the largest stones will remain on the riverbed”Mafia Island is on the east coast of Tanzania, a tiny island south of Zanzibar, while all tourist choose Zanzibar, we choose Mafia Island to swim with the Whale Shark.
