Birds in Action

I just wanted to pass a message through the images I have been working on for more than a year and it is not a composite, it is all real, waiting hours and days for birds to act the way I wanted with the action figures. As you know, I am passionate about everything that it is relates to wildlife, but I am also passionate about movies Star Wars,Star Trek or Disney movies, actors, and portraits too. I thought why not to mix both. I can’t ask actors in this world to stand in front of flowers for hours and waiting for a bird to come because it won’t. I believe if actors were using more of their voices it will help the future generations to understand the fragility of the environment and their animals so I decided to do it with what I had. 

I used action figures to make birds to get in situations like if it was for their own safety at risk, if they were asking for help if they could. It took me a lot of time and trust for the wild birds to act the way i wanted. It is only the beginning of my journey and I hope that you will like what I have done. Birds were not harmed in any other way, sometimes I used live worms to attract them but some others were honeyeaters so I had just to rely only on flowers to take actions.

I used a little bit of creativity into it to make it if we were watching a science fiction show.Action figures used: Darth Vader, Stormtroopers, Doctor Beverly Crusher, Captain Jean-luc Picard, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Obi-Wan Kenobi and more... Birds: New Holland Honeyeater, Splendid Fairywren females, Red-Winged Fairywren, White-browed Scrubwren...  More pictures will be added. I will eventually add behind scenes shots of birds that were not expected on the set.

I just want to apologise in advance to all actors or actresses, it wasn't my intentions to hurt anyone for the movies or shows they did which I really love, if you don't want me using any of your action figures, please do not hesitate to contact me and I will remove it, I want to thank all the birds they participate on my crazy project.
